Br Ti,riEOB.VPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. OAMARU, September 2. The football match, Otago v. North Otago, was played to-day in fine weather. All through the game Otago proved superior to the local men, and won by 27 points to 4. In the first speli King potted a goal for North Otago, and Don and Chambers scored tries for Otago, Paton converting both. In the second spell O'Sullivan (2), Patterson, Chambers and Arrnit scored tries for Otago, Paton converting one.
The following will represent Masterton 111. against St. Matthew's Bible Clasa on Saturday next:~Fullback, H. Simonson; three-quarters, Yates, E. Simonson, W. Flaws; fiveeighths, L. Johns; half-back, C. Osman; forwaris, Wellington, Fly, Rayner, Mcllattie, Dixon, Treen, Billington, Mnnn, Dean. The following has been chosen to represent the combined Friendly Societies against the Hibernians on Saturday next. The match will take place in the Showgrounds at 3 p.m., and the Masterton Pipe Band has kindly promised to march in the procession prior to the match, starting from the Prince of Wales Hotel: —P. Holmes, A. Y. Miller, W. Flaws, W. Darvill, J. Duggan, E. J. Wing, I. O'Connor, B. Welch, E. Jenkins, T. Feilding, J. Tanner, W. Harding, B. Hounslow. J. Wickens, A. Golder; emergencies, W. Bannister, A. Wilton, Thompson, A. Miller, L. Dai i It. All the abuve-mentioned players are requested to be at the Showgrounds at 2.45 p.m. sharp. In view tf the approaching examination the Ambulance Brigade have intimated their intention of being in attendance with the brougham. Dr. Cook has been appointed honorary surgeon for the occasion.
