LATE FOOTBALL.

By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, August 31. The Marist Bros. Old Boys Rugby football team left here to-day via the West Coast on a trip to Wanganui and Napier. The party comprise twenty players, and are under the management of Mr E. Dervan. The teams to be played are St. Mary's, Wanganui, and Marist Bros., Napier. The party expect to return to Auckland on September 10th. The southern portion of the Maori professional football team which recently toured Australia will leave here for their homes to-morrow, the match with the Auckland team having been abandoned The Auckland professional team to play Wellington will leave on Wednesday of next week, and hope to play a match at Taranaki en route.
