PRESENCE OF A GERMAN TORPEDOER.
AN EXPLANATION.
Received August 31, 8.33 a.m. LONDON, August 30. The German Consul states that the torpedoer is at present in the Tyne owing to a breakdown. Received August 31, 11.35 p.m. LONDON, August 31. The "Chronicle" and "Telegraph" state that the German torpedoer had followed the herring fleet as usual Irom Aberdeen. The manoeuvres were suddenly concluded on Satu-day. A cablegram from London yesterday stated that there was much comment over the action of a German torpedo-boat, which entered the Tyne on Friday during the progress of BriMsh naval manoeuvres, r-
