Mr D. E. Parton, who has been promoted to senior clerk at Taihape, will leave for that place on Friday next.
Mr Kemble Welch, of Masterton, -who, during the past eighteen months, has been studying in various dental colleges in England and America, returned to Masterton last week. Mr A. A. Turner, who has been in charge of the Mauriceville School, has been appointed to a sahool in Adelaide. He will leave to\take up his new position in about three weeks. Mr W. G. Riddell, S.M., has completed the term for which he was appointed relieving Magistrate in Hawke's Bay, and will return to Wellington after presiding at a sitting of the Teachers' Appeal Court at Dannevirke to-day. Mr and Mrs Allan Strang, of Palmerston North, who have been away fiom New Zealand for several years in Great Britain an! ontheContini ent, leave England on their return \ voyage to the Dominion by the Arawa "- J on October 16th.
