INVERCARGILL SUPREME COURT.

BT TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. INVERCARGILL, August 28. At the Supreme Court, Chas. G. Thurston was indicted on five charges for doing actual bodily harm to S. J. Leahy, and Owen Swan at Gore, by shooting them. M either of the men were badly hurt. Thurston was sent to gaol for three months. The evidence.showed that Swan and Leahy had been introduced to Thurston!'s house by another man named Hamilton during Thurdton's absence. A bottle of whisky was produced by Hamilton, andwhen Thurston returned he upbraided and chased his wife, accusing her of having taken his whisky to give the men. She appealed for protection, and Leahy knocked Thurston duwn. He was put on the sofa, and the men lett the house. After they had passed through the gate Thurston discharged a gun, Sw»n subsequently finding a pellet of shotjin the thumb and another in the chest, and Leahy a bruise on the hip, which was stated to have been caused by|a wad. In the divorce case of Morrison v. Morrison and Forbes (co-respondent), husband's petition on the ground of adultery a decree nisi was granted, to absolute in thivu months. Fifty pounds damuges were awarded against co-respondent. The husband is to have the custody of the three children.
