THE MAYPOLE DISASTER.
RELIEF FUND. Received August 28, 8.20 a.m. LONDON, August 27. The relief fund opened for the sufferers bv the disaster at the No. 1 Maypole Colliery, Abram, Lancashire, in which over seventy lives were lost, h:is reached £5,000. Thn includes a subscription of £1,400 from Mr Andrew Carnegie.
