Re3ults:— Hack Hurdles—Cloudy Morn 1, Cavil 2, Xavier 3. Etesian also started. Won by two lengths. Time, 2min 56 l-ssec. Licensed Victuallers' Steeplechase —Gone Away 1, King John 2, Good Night 3. Also started—Greystar, Rufus and Terimoana. Won by four lengths. Time, 4min 42sec. Open Hack Handicap—Overtime 1, Saltpetre 2, Sedgmoor 3. Also started —Tonderghie, Daisy Webb, Rifle Shot, Miss Flirt, Retort, Gordon Park. Wot/ anyhow. Hunters' 2, Mongolia 3. Also started—Valima and Morelli. Won by a quarter of a length. Open Hack—Research 1, Tonderghie 2, Re jan 3. Also started—Newport, Tarabon, Combine, Saltpetre. Won easily. Hunt Club Steeplechase—Cavil 1, Papanui 2, Good Night 3. Also started—King John, Gone Away, Awaitere. A chapter of accidents, all but placed horses falling. Time, Grain 30 l-ssec. Ladies' Bracelet — Netherby 1, Star Fish 2, Sedgmoor 3. Won by u lengen. Time, 2min lOJsec. A jockey's license has been issued to A. Watson, of Masterton, by the Wellington Racing Club. Nominations for the next meeting of the Wellington Pony and Galloway Racing Club, to be held on September 26th, will close on September 14th at 9 p.m.
