HOCKEY.
SEVEN ASIDE TOURNAMENT. The final round of the Wairarapa Ladies' Association's seven aside tournament between Kia Toa and the Masterton District High School was played at Lansdownt yesterday, and after an exciting game resulted in a win for Kia Toa by one goal to nil. Miss E. Bicknell scored for Kia Toa. Mr B. Iveson was referee. KIA TOA v. MASTEKTON. A match was played at Lansdowne, yesterday afternoon, between the Kia Toa and Masterton ladies' teams. Greytown had the best of the game, the home team lacking combination. In the first half Misses'J. Bicknell and C. Maguire scored goals for Kia Toa and the visiting team's score was increased to the extent of another goal in the second spell by Miss Z. Humphries. Greytown thus won by three goals to nil. Mr F. Richards was refeiee. The visiting team was entertained by the home team at afternoon tea after the match, about thirtv players ar.d friends being prasent. The presention of seven badges for the winners of the seven-aside tournament •was made by Mr J. Rue. Mr King replied on behalf of Kia Toa.
Miss 0. Richards has been elected captain of the Masterton tefita s?s .?§ to £.' ay in the Wellington Ladies' Hockey Tournament. Considerable interest is being taken h the hockey match to be played at Greytown on Thursday afternoon next, between the North and South Wairarapa reps.
