Four American sailors of the fleet set upon a black sailor of the fleet, for insulting a barmaid at an hotel in King street. The negio was terribly knocked about, his nose being Broken. One kick nearly took his upper lip off.
MURDER OF A FARMER. Received August 26, 10.22 a.m. PERTH, August 26. Oki, a Japanese fisherman, shot a farmer named Shaw dead at West Murray. The crime was the result of a feud. Oki has disappeared. THE ZEALANDIA. PURCHASED BY THE UNION COMPANY.
