THE BURNS-SQUIRES FIGHT. PUBLICATION OF DETAILS. Received August 26, 10.20 a.m. ADELAIDE, August 26. In the Assembly, Mr Vaughan asked the Treasurer whether it was not possible to prevent the publication of details of a fight such as the Burns-Squires fight. Mr Peake replied thai he quite agreed that the fight was brutal, but he did not think the law prohibited the publication of details. AUSTRALASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS. BT TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, August 26. A. Leckie replaces J. Smith as middle-weight representative in the New Zealand team which leaves tomorrow for Brisbane, via Sydney, to compete in the Australasian lioxing Championships. R. Mayze, who was to be the Dominion's welter-weight representative, is unable to go. His place will be taken by Metcalfe, of Auckland, who will take part in the light-weight championship.
