STOCK MARKET.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as followsWe held a very successful sale on account of Mr Albert Hooker yesterday (Monday), when we offered one of the best herds in the district. Unfortunately the advertisements were altered owing to the cows being so near calving, and several likely buyers were doubtful of the sale, but for all that a fair number of buyers were present, and bidding was, considering the season, very spirited. The cows were all young and in good condition, and the following prices were realised: - Springers, £5 15s to £8 15s; cows in milk (three weeks calved), £4 5s to £5 ss. Sundries sold to full market rates, and a full clearance resulted.
