SMALL HOLDINGS.
Received August 24, 8.30 a.m. LONDON, August 23. Under the Small Holdings Act there were 19,000 applicants for the first half of 1908, involving an area of 300,000 acres. Of seventeen land schemes received from county councils thirteen were approved.
