. • r Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Tiava received the following cablegram from London, dated August .21st: —The Copenhagen official quotation is 4 kroners (about 4s 6d) per cwt lower. The total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for week ending 15th inst. amounted to 85,000cwt, as compared with 79,000 cwt for the corresponding weak of 1907; showing an increase of 6,000 cwt. Australian, salte.l, 114s- unsal tad. 116s. Prices for New Zealand butter are unchanged. The market is steady. It is expected that if •any,change in prices takes place it will be in favour of sellers. Beef, |d per lb higher. Prices for mutton •and lamb are unchanged.
