As the outcome of proceedings at Friday's meeting of the Hawke's Bay Land Born, Mr Eustace Lane, the member who was ejected from the meeting for refusing to withdraw a remark which was objected to, has forwarde:] a Setter ta the chairman, in the course of which he says: — "Hereby I be? to notify you that any decisions the Board came to yesterday in my absence are illegal: that you are liable for an action of inciting to assault, and Mr Taylor and Mr Thomson for assault As, however, I car.-' ri6t wne/jot about the insult to my* person, and as I endorse all the cecisions the Board came to in my absence, with one exception, it is cmlv with regard to the interests of the one Crown tenant involved tnat I protest." Mr Lane then proceeds to state the grounds of his protest against the decisions in question.
