PRESIDENT OF PERU ATTACKED.
ASSAILANT ESCAPES. Received August 14, 10 p.m. LLMA, August 14. A man armed with a knife attacked the President of Peru (Senor Don Jose Pardo) in the streets of Lima. The President defended himself until the police ran to his assistance. The man then dropped the knife and escaped.
