GENERAL CABLES.
Received August 13, 10 p.m. TANGIER, August 13. An English doctor, travelling from Tangier to Fez, after witnessing a fight between the tribes of the Benaoudan and Ermique against the advice of two of Maghzens soldiers, entered the territory of the Ermique tribe, who captured him and accused him of commanding some of the Benaoudans. Criers immediately proclaimed a holy war, and the excited trioesmen tortured the doctor to death. Received August 13, 9 a.m. LONDON, August 12. Many colonial and other bishops visited LinJisfarn. where the Archbishop of Melbourne (Right Rev. Ur Clarke) preached among the ruins.
