RIFLES AND CARTRIDGES SEIZED.
JAPANESE MERCHANTS PROTEST. Received August 13, 9.50 p.m. PEKIN, August 13. Chinese authorities seized at Chinchan ten thousand rifles and two million cartridges. Japanese merchants have protested against the seizure, alleging that the cargo was theirs.
