NEW SOUTH WALES SYSTEM
CONSIDERED SATISFACTORY
Received August 13, 8.40 a.m. LONDON, August 12
After hearing a meeting at Leeds addressed by New South Wales emigration agents, eighty-five shipping agents from all parts of the idnyoom resolved that the New South Wales system of immigration was satisfactory, and that they would undertake to secure, as many rural settlers as New South Wales was prepared to grant assisted passages to. They expressed a hope that the other States would follow the New South Wales policy.
