Mr E. W. Morgan, formerly of Dalefield, has purchased a farm on the Palmerston North road at Pahia- | tua. Miss Rosina Burkrnann, the wellknown soprano singer, has accepted an engagement with Musgrove's Opera Company. She is to leave Wellington for Melbourne on Friday week. His Excellency the Governor (Lord Plunket) will visit Masterton on August 19th, and present the certificates won by members of the St. John Ambulance Association at a ] function to be held by that body.
