TAYLOR-CARRINGTON PICTURES. Two thousand pounds is a very large sum to invest in a moving picture show, but that is what Mr Charlie Taylor and Miss Ella Carrington have spent in launching their cinematograph entertainment, which they produce at the Town Hall tonight. In order that the pictures may be shown by means of electricity, the Taylor-Carrington management have imported a special electric light plant. As a safeguard against accidents, the management have also imported a patent fire-proof safety cabin in which the operators and cinematograph machine are installed. This is the first safety cabin imported into Auslralasia, and is a most complete safeguard against fire. In the matter of films, the manage* ment have invested over a thousand pounds, and the high quality of them may be judged by the fact that one of them—Pathe Frere's "Life of Christ"—cost over eighty pounds.
