Messrs Abraham and Williams, iiLtd., report having conducted a very successful sale of dairy stock on be•half of Mr J. M. Davie, Rongomai, on Friday last. The attendance was satisfactory, notwithstanding the wretched weather prevailing, buyers .from Palmerston, Pahiatua, and other ■districts being strongly represented. Business at auction was animated, and at times particularly keen, especially for good sorts coming in ■early. The cows, although in fair condition and all round of good • class, were on the aged side, consequently the pnce3 realised were -especially satisfactory to the vendor. Cows coming in this month ,made from £5 to £lO, others £4 to .£4 15s, the whole herd of 40 averaging exactly £5 13s 9d. Breeding so ws £3 to £4 10s, empty sow 355, *boar 355, sundries at current pr ices.
