ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF MEMBERS. The annual general meeting of members of the Wairarapa Caledonian Suciety was hold in the Dominion Hall yesterday afternoon, Mr L'. P. Lett (frtsiucm) m the cnair. The Chairman, in moving the adoption of the report and balancesheet, commented on the satisfactory position disclosed. He expressed particular pleasure at observing tnai ihe small iftnn of £ll ,renresented the total outstanding subscriptions. There had been an expenditure of £2O in conn-ption wun the Ingleside, and it would be a question for the society whether ar.ot,»r should not be held. Mr G. Heror, seconded the motion, and he and other members congratulated the President on bis adihinis' tration, and on the satisfactory position of the Society. The following new members were then elected:—Messrs C. McGrcugfcan, J. Tait, T. WriJey, D. McKenzie, A. D. Gillies, A. E. Prentice, Bland Rayner, G. E. A. Hood, P. W. Fowler, H. Falloon, C. Tootell, D. McGillicuddy, D. O'Laughlan. The election of officers resulted as follows President, Mr D. McLachlan; Vice-Presidents, Messrs G. Stewart and W. L. Falconer; Directors, Messrs R. Cameron, F. F. Day, R. Gray, D. Guild, J. Harvey, A. Haughey, G. Heron, F. W. H. Kummer, G. and J. McHattie, Jas. McKenzie (Te Whiti), J. B. McKenzie (Boyne Terrace), A. McLeod, H. Morrison, A. Mutrie, J. H. Pauling, Alex. Turner, E. H. Waddington, W. D. Vatson,. T. Wyeth, T. P. Lett, G. E. A. Hood, John James., W. Sellar, J. C. Ewington.; Auditor, Mr R. Brown;' Treasurer, Mr G. Sykes. It was decided to grant the auditor a fee of £2 2s. 1 It was decided to refer to' the Directors the question of whether or not the next sports gathering be held no the Showgrounds A motion by Mr J. Cross that no liquor be sold at the next sports gathering lapsed through several members leaving the meeting, and no quorum remaining-
