CAPE FODDER.

AUSTRALIAN RESTRICTIONS. Received August 5, 9.50 p.m. CAPETOWN, August 5. Tn the Cape Assembly Mr Viljoen moved a resolution expressing the opinion that the reasons given for the Australian restrictions on the importation of Cape forage were unsatisfactory, and contending that if the restrictions are necessary in Australia, similar reasons exist for restricting the entry of Australian produce into Cape Colony. The motion was agreed to without dissension. An additional clause, advocating a discontinuance of the differential arrangement between Sojth Africa and Australia was withdrawn.
