FOOTBALL.
BT TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION. Received August 4, 9 a.m. SYDNEY, August 4. The Maori footballers are forming anew team, to be known as "The Native New Zealand team," and intend to play matches in order to raise funds to get home.
The match between the Wairarapa third-class representative team and the Thursday Juniors will be plajea at Carterton to-morrow. The drag to convey the local players to Carterton will leave at 1.30 p.m., and any player who is unable to play is requested to notify Mr W. Harding. The team will play in Red Star jerseys. The following team will represent W.F.C.A. in a match with the employees of Messrs J. Graham and Co., to-morrow afternoon: Full-back, Keisenberg; three-quarters, Dunn, La Roche and E. H. Dixon; five-eighths, Schubert and Gilding; half-back, J. Long; wing, Whitt; forwards, Parker, McGinnity, McFarlane, Colder, Maxwell, Russell and Potter.
