UNITED STATES FLEET.
A MARCONIGRAM. Received August 4, 9.40 a.m. SYDNEY, August 4. Reuter's have received a, further wireless message from the American Flett as follows: - "At 8 p.m. on August Ist the fleet was 1,500 miles from Auckland. At 7 o'clock in the morning it passed the eastern end of Tutiula, steaming along the coast in single column, close inshore, and giving the inhabitants a splendid view. At 9 o'clock in the morning, the fleet healed direct for Auckland, cruising formation of line of squadron being resumed. The speed was, reduced to 9i knots, in order to avoid arrival at Auckland before August 9th. The hospital ship Relief stopped at Pago-Pago to coal, and will follow the fleet to Auckland. The weather is fine, but hot." Received August 5, 21.37 a.m. MELBOURNE, August 4. Reuter has received a wireless telegram from the Fleet, stating that at 8 o'clock on Sunday evening the position, was 18.29 degrees south, 175.54 degrees Auckland west, being distant 1,260 miles. The Fleet steamed 240 miles in the last 24 hojrs. All is well.
