Mrs M. Greatbatch, of Featherston, died on Sunday. Trie deceased, who was 74 years of age, leaves four sons and five daughters to mourn their loss. The death occurred, at Carterton, on Sunday, of Mr C. H. Nicholle, an old and highly-respec'etl resident of Carterton. Mr C H. Nicholls was a sergeant in the 3r>l Dragoon Guards, and fought through the Indian Mutiny from the latter part of 1857 to its close, and remained in India till 1864. He leaves an adult family of four sons and four daughters, who will have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in their bereavement.
