Received August 2, 4.30 p.m. pf SYDNEY, August 2. Frederick, with Bst 121b up, won the Rosehill High Weight Handicap. Received August 1, 8.25 p.m. MELBOURNE. August 1 The Australian Hurdle Race, run at Caulfield tc-Jay, resulted as follows: Dagoba 1, Charlemagne 2, Lady Quiz 3. All the acceptors started. Ataahua led into the straight, and Charlemagne and Lady Quiz along the back. At the turn Ataahua was 15 lengths from Dagoba. The New Zealand horse fell at the second last hurdle. Dagoba led into the straight by 10 lengths from Charlemagne, and eventually won by 3 lengths. There were eight lengths between the second and third horses. Time, 6min 40|sec.
