BY TELEGRAPH—PRICBS ASSOCIATION. • '■" PALMERSTON N., July 31. Andrew McEwcn, one of the early Manawatu settlers, drowned himself in the Manawatu river to-day. The deceased was a dairy fanner living at Jackeytown. He met with an accident some time ago, which is said to have aifected his brain. ,
