Mr J. C. Boddington reports a3 follows:—The rainfall on the Upper Plain up till 9 a.m. yesterday was 4 points. Rain ft 11 on the Upper Plain on 22 days in July. The maximum fall in 24 hours was 1.81 inches on the 7th, and the minimum 1 point on the 22nd. The lotal for the month was 6.61 inches, as against 2.97, 2 47, 5.98 and 3.22 in 1904, ,1905, 1906 and 1907 respectively.' Th 3 total for the seven months of the yoar is 21.17 inches, as against 23.38, 26.68, 29.39 and 38 37 for the corresponding period in 1904, 1905, 1906 and,1907. ' j
