NOTICE is hereby given of the intention of the Council, at a meeting to bo hold on the 11th of August, 1008, under the provisions of Sections 148 to 150 of "Tho Counties'' Act, 1880," to make the following rates for the year commenced on the Ist day of April, VMS, and ending on tho 31st day of March, 1909, upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the County, as appearing on the Valuation Roll in force at this date:— A General Kato over the whole County of live eighths of a penny in the pound. A separate rate in the Upper Taueru Riding of one-eighth of a penny in the pound. A separate rate in the Wainuioiu Riding of three-sixteenths of a penny iu the pound. A separate rate in the Alfredton Riding of three-farthings in the pound. The said rates will bo made payable at the County Office, Chapel Street, Masterton, in one sum, ou the 31st day of August, 1908.
