NOTICE is hereby given of the intention of the Council, at a meeting to be held on the 11th of August, 1908, under the provisions of Sections 14S to 150 of "The Counties' Act, 1886," to make the following rates for the year commenced on the Ist day of April, 1908, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1909, upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the County, as appearing on the Valuation Roll in force at this date: — A General Rate over the whole County of five eighths of a penny in the pound. A separate rate in the Upper Taueru Riding of one-eighth of a penny in the pound. A separate rate in the Wainuioru Riding of three-sixteenths of a penny in the pound. A separate rate in the Alfrodton Riding of three-farthings in the pound. The said rates will bo made payable at the County Office, Chapel Street, Masterton, in one sum, on the 31st day of August, 1908.
