TO PREVENT HASTY MARRIAGES.
Received July 29, 10.30 a.m. MELBOURNE, July 29. A Bill has been introduced in the Legislative Council to amend the Victorian Marriage Act -in the direction of compelling three days' notice to he given before a marriage can be celebrated. It is aimed at clandestine and hasty marriages at matrimonial agencies.
