The takings in the test match on Saturday totalled £1,004, or £2OO less than on the previous Saturday, notwithstanding the douDle charge and the proceeds of the auxiliary stands. AUCKLAND, July 27. The British footballers left here this evening fpr Sydney by the s.s. Victoria Vassall missed the boat, and will go to Wellington, leaving there by sceamer on Friday for Sydney. Prior to their departure, the team were entertained at a farewell function by the officials of the New Zealand Rugby Union. Mr D. Gallagher, on behalf of the New Zealand team which played in the third te°t match, presented Mr A ; F. Harding, captain of the British team, with a gold cigarette case. The action of the New Zealand team was greatly appreciated by Mr Harding and his comrades.
