A ROMANCE OP THRILLINGINTEREST. A romance of remarkable vigour, intensely thrilling in action, and animated from start to finish, will he begun on FRIDAY, July 31st, under the title of— A By FLORENCE WARDEN, At first the heroine seems a creature devoid of womanly feeling; but, as the story advances, it will be seen that under an icy exterior there beats a warm heart, ever ready to respond to generous impulses. She is the victin of a misalliance, her husband being a heartless scoundrel whose occupation is to fleece inexperienced young men who possess more money than sense. One of these arouses the interest of the heroine, and she attempts his reformation, with the result that her conduct is misunderstood by her husband. A novel complication is cleverly worked up by a young couple who, to carry out a scheme chiefly of importance to the girl, pretend that they are engaged. This episode serves to brighten the more sombre events of the exciting narrative, which teems with dramatic interest throughout.
