t SEQUEL TO A SLANDER CASE. LONDON, July 24. An action at the Cork Assizes, in which the Hon. Alexis Roche sued Sir Timothy O'Brien for slander, abruptly terminated, a juryman declaring that O'Brien, through a third party, had attempted t(* influence his decision.

The judge granted a conditional order attaching Sir Timothy O'Brien for contempt of court.
