FRANK THORNTON COMPANY.

Mr Frank Thornton, who is now on a final tour of the Dominion, is to appear on Monday night next, for that night only, in one of the greatest farcical comedies that has yet been written—viz., "The Private Secretary." It is considerably more than four years since he last toured New Zealand. He takes his farewell to Masterton on that night in the character that has made him famous wherever the English tongue is spoken, that of the Rev. Robert Spalding, "The Private Secretary." Mr Thornton has appeared in this character ovei 1,200 times, and probaly no greater success has yet been achieved on any stage than this exceedingly funny comedy. The plan is open at Miss A. E. Rive's.
