One of the most sweeping price reduction sales that has happened along during the present season in Masterton, is announced to open at the Exchange Buildings, Queen Street, Masterton, to-day, when the whole of tho high-class, seasonable and dependable stocks of drapery, clothing, mercery, etc., carried by Mr J. L. Murray, is to be offered to the public at sweeping reductions on ordinary prices: During the past ten days the staff has been busily engaged making preparations for the tale, and additional assistance has been secured to cope with the crowds that invariably patronise the genuine Sfks held from time to time by Mr Murray. The spacious Exchange Buildings, with thtf exceptional window conveniences for display purposes, are particularly suited' to exhibiting goods to the very best advantage, and the exhibit of seasonable stocks now made (and marked at sale prices) is creditable in the extreme.. In an extended advertisement appearing on page 6of this issue, certain lines are enumerated, and the reduction in price to be made during the sale period are indicated.. Big stocks in all departments have to be speedily reduced, and, in order to induce residents to buy liberally, prices have been cut to the very lowest. Ladies' macintoshes,., for instance, which, during a favourable season would bring from 30s to 655, ctn be bought to-day for ss. They aie stylish goods—purchased for tins season's trade. Residents generally are invited to visit the Exchange Buildings and note the varit ty ar.d quality of the stock in all departments. Those who go to view are sure to remain to buy.
