Received Ju1y.,24, 10.30 a.m. SYDNEY, July 24. Givirg evidence before the Federal Postal Commission, Mr Young, Deputy Postmaster-General, said the stories of alleged sweating had been exaggerated. He admitted that 32,000 hours'uvertime pay was due to the staff. He had been compelled to do clerical work owing to the shortness of the staff, and the department thus lost his services as a controller.
