THE QUEBEC CELEBRATIONS.

The actual fetes in connection with the Quebec Tercentenary celebrations will begin to-morrow, and terminate on the 28th. Mr Frank Lascelles, who organised the pageant at Oxford last year, is directing a Quebec pageant, to occupy two afternoons, with eighteen scenes, covering history from even before Champlain's time to the present day. There will also be historical processions through the streets—troops in uniforms of different periods during the last three hun dred years; emblematic tableaux of the various Courts of Monarchs dm-' ing the period; picked men from the armies and navies of England, France, and the States, and other interesting companies. Then the Review of Troops takes place, on which occasion the Prince of Wales presides, as the King's representative, over the "Dedication of the Battlefields," handing over to Sir Wilfrid Laurier a deed of gift which makes the whole of the Plains of Abraham and Ste. Foye, for ever the property of the nation. Following this ceremony comes the Review of

the Fleet, with brilliant naval illuminations at night. July 26th will be known as "Thanksgiving Day." The 28th will be the "Children's Day," with appropi'iate outdoor rejoicings, and the celebrations end that evening with a monster display of fireworks, given on the Plains.
