A shocking accident occurred on the mid-day expiess from Christchurch by which passengers a young woman, whose name is at present unknown, and whose age is about 22, was cut to piece o . It seems that she was suffering from illness, and went out on to the carriage platform, from which she was seen to fall, apparently in a faint. Several carriages passed over her, and on the train being stopped life was found to be extinct. The body was fearfully mangled. A railway ticket, found where she fell, was for Orari. The body has been taken on to Timaru. ,
