PERSONAL.
Rev. J. Chalmers Mill, of Auckland, will be ordained minister of Pahiatua Presbyterian Church on July 29th. Mrs G. P. Donnelly, of Hawke's Bay, who has been seriously ill in Sydney, has quite recovered her health. Mr J. C. Rob'nie, who has held the ro?ition of first assistant at the Featherston dairy factory for the past two years, has been appointed manager of the Barry's Bay chetse factory, Bank's Peninsula. The funeral took place yesterday at the Clareville Cemetery of the late Mr? C. Tunnicliffe. The cortege was a large and rapiesentative one The service at the graveside was conducted by the Rev. W. J. Elliott, of the Carterton Methodist Church.
Mr William Haydn Flood, who has had a varied career, died in Wellington on Friday morning at the age of 78 years. Deceased, in his younger day 3, was an orgariist and was well known in the Hawke's Bay district, where lie travelled as a teacher of music. '1 h 5 military career of Mr Flood goes back into history. He served in the First Life Guards, and was present at the funeral of the late Iron Duke of Wellington. He also saw service in New Zealand. Iu is said that he served with the Wanganui cavalry in the Maori war. ' He tried Port Hacking after fish, But only caught a cold. _ He said} "Atchoo ! By jovo T. wish I'd done as I was told.
