Sir Doinic Ellis Colnaghi has bequeathed to the National Gallery several pictures by old masters, also the residue of his estate, subject to the widow's life interest. LONDON, July 16. Mr Robert Pearce, Liberal member for the Leek Division of Staffordshire, and Mr C. Corbett, Liberal member for one of the Sussex seats, are initiating a Bill in the House of Commons, to treat girls and women sentenced for politicaloft'ences as firstclass misdemeanants, except in cases where damage to property or grievous bodily harm are involved.
