The ballot recently held by circular in connection with the choice of an Opposition candidate for the Oroua seat resulted in Mr Guthrie being nominated. Mr Atkinson, the other Opposition candidate for the seat, congratulated Mr Guthrie, and promised him all possible assistance. The polling was very heavy, and considerable interest was taken in the result.
