CATHOLIC SOCIAL.
The Catholic social, which is to be held on July 23rd, promises to eclipse anything of the kind that has been previously held in Masterton. The Town and Drill Halls hnve been engaged for the function, and active committees have been formed to attend to the various arrangements. The Town Hall will be used for card parties. The games to be played will consist of progressive euchre, bridge, and forty-fives. Special attention will be devoted to the preparation of the floor of the Drill Hnll. An energetic Ladies' Committee has the supper arrangements in hand, and every effort will be made to provide far the comfort of visitors.
