LATE FOOTBALL.
BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. , NEW PLYMOUTH, July 14. The British footballers arrived tonight, and were welcomed to the town. The following team has been picked to represent Britain against T aranaki to-morrow: Full-back, Dyke; three-quarters, J. L. Williams, Tuan Jones, Vassall and Chapman; halves, W. Morgan, W. J. Davey and McEvedy; forwards, Harding, Dibble, Down, E. Morgan, Hind, ■Smith, Archer. Of the others, Jackett (injured leg), Ponty Jones shoulder), and Gibbs (who burst a blood vessel under the knee cap), are incapacitated, the latter for the balance of the tour. Cameron may be unable to play for Taranaki. He is suffering from an injury to his shoulder received in the Wanganui match. The weather promises to be -fair, but the ground will scarcely have time to recover from the recent-rains. There is great dissatisfaction htrc at the exclusion of Mynott from the New Zealand team. The latter is playing better than ever, and outplaying even Hunter.
