LAWLESSNESS IN IRELAND.
Received July 14, 9 a.m. LONDON, July 13. Mr Justice Kennedy, addressing the Roscommon grand jury, regretted the extreme lawlessness of the country. The prevalence of cattle "driving" had, he said, caused great anxiety, and suggested that instead of proceeding by indictment it would be better to rely on the ordinary law, which punished such offence by at least six months' imprisonment.
