MASTERTON A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING. The iponthly meeting of the General Committee of the Masterton A. and P. Association was held on Saturday afternoon. There were present Messrs J. D. Cruickshank (chairman), E. Harper, B. Rayner, R. J. Dagg, T. P. Lett, W. Perry, G. C. Summerell, 0. C. Cooper, H Morrison, J. C. McKillop, D. McGregor, junr., A. G. Pilmer, J. Perry, W. Cooper, G. Shaw and A. J. Percy. The secretary of the New Zealand Jervaev Breeders' Association forwarded an official list of the Jersey Breeders' Association judges in connection with the forthcoming Show. The names! were Messrs W. H. Booth, Middle Run, Carterton; A. Buchanan, Palmerston North; R. F. Cornwall, New Plymouth; C. Day, Tamahere, Waikato; E. Carterton; G. Gould, ChristC. Goultar, Hawkesbury, Blenheim; J. G. Harkness, Wellington; P. Hunter, Porangahau;' S. R. Lancaster, Palmerston North; J. A. ! McCrea, Palmers ton North; E. D. McLennan, Papakura; W. M. Topp, Onehunga; H. E. B. Watson, Tai Tapu, Christchurch. 1 j\n application was received from Feist asking the Committee at' it could see its way to grant the use of the grounds iree for a week at Christmas time for the purpose of rhe Presbyterian Summer School. Messrs J. and D- McGregor, sunr. waited upon the meeting in support of che application, which was granted unanimously, subject to the usual conditions The following Show dates were notified:—Nelson A and P. Association, Tuesday and Wednesday, November L4th and 25th; Feilding A. and P. Association, Tuesday and Wednesday, February 2nd and 3rd, 190 l»; Wairarapa P. and A. Society, October 28th and 29th; Canterbury A. arid P. Association, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 11th, 12th and 13th November. Mr F. C. Lewis wrote tendered resignation as a member of the General Committee. Mr Lewis said he regretted to be compelled to have to do so, but he found,that his business prevented him from attending 113 meetings of the Committee as regularly as he desired, and he felt it incumbent on him to relinquish office.

The Committee accepted the resig- j nation/with r-gret. ' Thejfollowing new members were elected: —Measrs F. C. H. Cotter, M. J. H. Jackson, H. C. Swan, H. E. Mowbray, L. Cowan, W. Shute, M. Kerins, J. Foss, H. H. Pavitt, i J. Blinkhorne, H. Boyle, G. Cullen, C. G. Monro, J. Rod, A. B. Wood, C., Dickenson, L. Fyke, H. A. Jones, W. C. Coulter, R. V. Hosking, E. O'Sullivun, H. Trevor, 0. Heffernan, R. Hole, R. Smith, F. Evans. The following resignations were ■accepted:-—J. Gillies, W. Hubbard, H, McManaway. J. C. Scott, G. Watson. The Chairman stated that the following had consented to be nominated (to the General Committee as representative-* of South Wairarapa:— H. A. M'Jcthewa, R. Smith, W. McMauter,' 0- Donald, W. C. Bidwill a;id A. Donald. The announcement was received with general satisfaction. * j It was resolved to invite applications for the piaition of caretaker of the Solway Grounds, particulars of the salary, etc., to be left to the General Committee and the Chairman of the Finance Committee (Mr Summerell). SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING OF MEMBERS. A special general meeting of members of the Association was held """ after the meeting of the General Committee for the purpose of confirming the amended rules already approved of. Mr Gruickshank continued in the chair; After a short discussion, the rules were confirmed unanimously. Messrs G. W. Sellar, A. E. Green, J. B. Ernmett and G. Cullau were appointed sirutineen for the ballot of the General Committee.
