CHAMPIONSHIP OF AUSTRALIA
SVDNEY, July 11. In the golf championship, the second round was won by Pearce, (Tasmania), who again did the round in 75. Duncan (New Zealand) 81 tied with Carnegie and Clark for seventh place. Handysiae (New Zealand) did the round in 86. Tareha (New Zealand), and Bidwill (New Zealand) in 89 each.
Received July 12, 4.30 p.m. SYDNEY. July 11. The Golf Championship resulted as follows:—C. Pearce (Tasmania) 311, 1; Soutar (New South Wales) 314, 2; A. Duncan (New Zealand) 318, 3. J. Carne Bidwill (New Zealand) was thirteenth with 336. Tareha (New Zealand) scoi-ed 346.
