THE CLIFF MURDER.

LONDON, July 9. Following the recent abandonment of the prosecution of John Francis M'Guire on a charge of what is known as the Cliff murder, at Bournemouth, M'Guire hiu been arrested for deserting from the army.

M'Guire is an ex-Life Guaidsman. The murdtied woman, Emily Sherriff, was about 35 years of age. The woman's body was found on a cliff near Bournemouth, death having been caused through the ribs being wyiajtrl "i. .".vOuire had evidently been in financial difficulties, and the theory of the prosecution was that this furnished the motive for the crime.
