MEYNELL AND GUNN CO.

*■ ■ "t\ Beggar on Horseback" will be produced by Messrs Meynell and Gunn, for the first time in Masterton, at the Town Hall on Monday next. A contemporary says "A Beggar on Horseback" tells one of the best stories of the days of the Young Pretender that has been put on the stage, and is withal a well-conceived and well-written play. It is characterised by powerful and at times clever dialogue, a well-con-ceived plot, and telling situations, and Messrs Meynell and Gunn did well to secure it after its production for copyright purposes in English provinces. The company presenting the play is a powerful one, and is headed by that popular actur Harcourt Beatty and the English actress Madge Mcintosh.
